Millbrook Wins Prestigious Workplace Culture Award

Millbrook Wins Prestigious Workplace Culture Award

The sun was shining at London’s prestigious Hurlingham Club for the Asset Finance Connect Summer Awards. More than 500 auto, equipment and asset finance professionals attended the largest asset finance awards to celebrate the many success stories in the industry, particularly during such volatile and challenging times.

Focusing on People, Planet and Profit, this year’s awards were designed to showcase the very best in auto, equipment and asset finance, acknowledging those organisations, teams and individuals who have committed to making a real change, as well as highlighting excellence among the industry’s emerging talent and tomorrow’s leaders.

New award categories were added to the year’s proceedings to recognise great employers, as well as extraordinary social and environmental contributions to the industry.

One such inaugural award was the highly sought-after ‘Best Organisation to Work For’ Award, sponsored by CBC Resourcing Solutions. Millbrook Business Finance took home the award on the night, beating 12 other established and well-respected nominees.

Unlike our other awards, this category was not judged by the panel of industry experts and was instead judged anonymously by the company’s own employees, meaning the accolade of “best company to work for” really is a true endorsement of how employees feel and how much employees appreciate their employers.

Thoughts from our MD on Millbrook's awards success

Justin Amos, Managing Director, said:

“This is truly a victory for each member of the team who has helped to shape the healthy and happy working environment we have at Millbrook. We are thrilled our efforts to nurture an environment where people can thrive has been recognised, in addition to our commitment to diversity and inclusion and our progressive stance on staff mental health and wellbeing.”

Deciding factors which helped crown Millbrook Business Finance the winner was our recent onboarding of a confidential and completely free counselling service for its employees, meaning they can seek prompt professional support when they experience mental health challenges. Notably, the company also celebrated the end of Ramadan with Muslim colleagues by sharing a team meal together and we regularly enjoy team-building activities.
